VIDEO: Tornado Touches Down in Southeast Tyler, Topples Tree Across Shiloh Road

SOUTH TYLER, Texas (TXAN 24) — A tornado briefly touched down in Southeast Tyler Friday night, causing visible foliage damage and blocking eastbound traffic on Shiloh Road between Highway 110 and Paluxy Drive.

TXAN 24 News captured exclusive footage of the aftermath, showing the large tree that was uprooted and left stretched across the roadway. The brief but powerful storm also scattered debris and snapped branches in the area.

The National Weather Service confirmed the tornado’s touchdown just after 8:30 p.m. No injuries have been reported, but cleanup is ongoing and eastbound lanes remained partially blocked as of Friday evening at 9:11PM
