JACKSONVILLE, Texas (TXAN 24) — One of East Texas’ most iconic high school football stadiums is in the spotlight — and needs your vote. The historic Tomato Bowl has advanced to the Final Four of the 2025 Dave Campbell’s Texas Football #TXHSFB Stadium Bracket Challenge.

Representing Jacksonville ISD, the Tomato Bowl is going head-to-head with El Paso ISD in this round. The online contest, hosted annually by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, highlights the most beloved high school football stadiums across Texas — and the Tomato Bowl is proving it belongs in that conversation.

Community members can vote unlimited times until 11:59 PM CT on Sunday, April 13. Jacksonville has rallied strong so far, and this round will determine whether the Tomato Bowl moves on to the championship matchup.

The Tomato Bowl, nestled in the heart of Jacksonville, has served as a symbol of school pride for generations. Known for its stone construction and rich football tradition, it’s more than just a field — it’s a cornerstone of East Texas sports culture.

Let’s help put the Tomato Bowl on top — and remind the rest of Texas that Friday nights hit different in Jacksonville.
