UAB takes lead over Memphis going into halftime

FORT WORTH, TX – The AAC Championship game at Dickies Arena is living up to the hype, with UAB and Memphis locked in a hard-fought contest at the half. The energy in the arena is electric as both teams battle for the conference title and an automatic NCAA Tournament bid.

UAB’s Yaxel Lendeborg has been a force inside, leading the Blazers with 9 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists through the first 20 minutes. His presence on the boards has helped UAB stay competitive in a physical matchup.

Memphis has countered with Dain Dainja, who is just shy of a double-double himself, putting up 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists. The Tigers have relied on their size and physicality, but UAB has matched their intensity every step of the way.

With both teams nearly even on the stat sheet, the second half is shaping up to be a thrilling finish. Can UAB ride Lendeborg’s strong play to a championship, or will Memphis make a statement down the stretch? Stay tuned as the AAC title is decided in Fort Worth.
