ARLINGTON, Texas (TXAN 24) -- Kilgore came up short with a final score of 55-21 in a one-sided contest. Despite posting close to 300 total yards, the Bulldogs struggled with getting Celina's offense off the field as the Bobcats scored on their first 5 consecutive drives in the first half. Jayden Sanders led the bulldogs on both sides of the ball, but the team couldn’t find a rhythm against the opponent’s defense or offense. The defense allowed over 400 yards of total offense, with Bowe Bentley, Celina's quarterback, had an MVP worthy performance. While the loss is disappointing, Kilgore’s perseverance throughout the season shows their resilience, and this setback will only fuel their determination for future success.
