JACKSONVILLE, Texas (TXAN 24) — A shooting early Tuesday morning has left one man injured, according to the Jacksonville Police Department.
At approximately 6:56 a.m. on July 9, 2024, Jacksonville Police received a call reporting a shooting in the 700 block of Elm Street. Police and emergency medical services were promptly dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers found a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim's identity has been confirmed, but his information is being withheld at this time.
Authorities have identified the shooter and are actively working to apprehend the suspect.
