4 East Texas High Schools Rank Among Top 75 in State for Girls’ Volleyball

EAST TEXAS (TXAN 24) – Four East Texas high schools have earned spots in the top 75 statewide rankings for girls’ volleyball, showcasing the region’s exceptional talent and competitive spirit.


Spring Hill (7-2) in Longview leads the group, securing the #45 spot in the state. The Spring Hill Panthers have gained recognition for their strong defense and well-coordinated team play, establishing themselves as a powerhouse in Texas volleyball.


Central Heights High School (14-0) in Nacogdoches follows closely, ranking #50. The Blue Devils’ success this season reflects their rigorous training and adaptability on the court, making them a formidable contender in every match.


Lindale High School (12-2) ranked #71, has also made a strong showing this season. The Eagles have consistently demonstrated their skill and determination, earning them a well-deserved place among the top teams in the state. Their balanced approach to both offense and defense has been key to their success.


Tyler Heat (10-1) rounds out the group at #73 in the state. This ranking underscores the hard work and perseverance of the players and coaching staff, who have shown remarkable growth and determination throughout the season.


These rankings demonstrate the strength of East Texas volleyball, with each of these schools contributing to the region’s reputation for producing top-tier athletic talent.


As the season continues, all four teams will aim to climb even higher in the state rankings, driven by their commitment to excellence.

• Spring Hill will compete against Kilgore on August 23.

• Central Heights is set to play White Oak on August 27.

• Lindale High School will face Troup on August 30.

• Tyler Heat will take on Palestine Westwood on August 24.
